The Local Park
Emergent practice, design research

For this university assignment we were asked to engage critically with Country to design a climate-conscious project that was informed by the AUSTRALIAN INDIGENOUS DESIGN CHARTER.
Expanding upon the practice of deep listening, the design intent of this project was to develop interest and engagement with my community’s local park, on Wallumedegal Country, by facilitating the creation of meaningful memories and opportunities for play and creativity.
The final outcome was a workshop that seeks to encourage others to engage in activities of deep observation and experience alternative ontologies.
